All her sister’s lovers end up dead, but what’s a good older sister to do? Clean up after her, of course. This is one of my favorite debuts this year, even as I write this I’m grinning at the thought of it. It’s hip and dark with a diabolical sense of humor and two striking female characters, Karede and Ayoola, slashing their way across its pages.
